'My Borough, Our Borough'

Welcome to the Dudley Community Partnership website

The Dudley Community Partnership (DCP) brings together many partner organisations from the public services sector, the business sector and the voluntary and community sector.

Our main aim is for all our partners to work effectively together to improve the quality of life for everyone in the Borough.  We will do this by delivering our Community Strategy.

Our Society in Dudley Borough

our local partnership approach to the Big Society and Localism agenda.

Prior to the general election May 2010, David Cameron announced the Big Society, the basis of which is of community empowerment, opening up public services and greater civic and civil action.

The Big Society ideology is being established legislatively by the Localism Bill, the Open Public Services White Paper as well as other changes in legislation including the NHS White Paper.

Our approach recognises that outcomes and activities sought in a Big Society already exist across our Borough, in our neighbourhoods, local businesses, public sector agencies, voluntary organisations, communities and faith groups.

We recognise however that existing activities are not enough.  The borough needs to do more and needs to do differently to meet the challenges presented in this current climate of austerity and a retreating state.

Dudley's Energy Case Studies

We have launched our interactive map and search facility of energy case studies from across the Borough.  The case studies of energy saving and energy generation projects by individuals, businesses and organisations should inspire others to do more to save energy and thus reducing the impact upon their pockets and on the environment.

Making Culture Count - the Borough's new Cutural Strategy 2011-14

This partnership strategy has been driven by a local need which has recognised that culture and cultural activities are fundamental to the people of the Borough, which is demonstrated by the large number of organisations providing wide ranging activities for people to get involved in.
