Welcome to the Dudley Community Partnership (DCP) website! DCP is the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for Dudley. Our role is to extend and improve partnership working within the Borough whilst ensuring that communities are actively involved in determining service delivery. We also have a responsibility to address inequalities that exist within the Borough so as to ensure no one is disadvantaged by virtue of where they live. Working with all partners and the community, we strive to improve the quality of life for all those who live or work in the Borough. This website is intended to act as an introduction to the DCP so anyone accessing it can find out more about us and our work. We hope you enjoy browsing the website which will provide you with further information about the partnership, our objectives for the future, the agencies that we work with, how to get involved with the partnership and much more.
We have submitted the final version of our Next Generation Local Area Agreement, which is a 3 year agreement to improve the performance of key services across the Borough. Some challenging targets have been set and delivery plans for each priority are nearing completion. There will be a review process during June and July 2008, to assess the delivery plans which will include members of the community and voluntary sector, through Dosti.
A key task of the DCP is to prepare and implement a Community Strategy with the aim of improving the quality of life for all people living within the borough. Dudley's current Community Strategy was launched in 2005 and sets out a realistic and exciting vision to 2020. The Community Strategy will be reviewed this year (2008) to see what has been acheived in the last 3 years, whether the priorities that were agreed in 2005 are still the same, and whether people in Dudley feel that their quality of life has improved. During the review, information will be added to the Community Strategy pages of this website, so you can see what is going on and get involved.
