The need to have a partnership to lead on matters of heritage, culture and leisure across the borough, has been identified for some time. The Community Strategy 2005-20 included a number of objectives that such a partnership could work towards, to contribute to an overall aim of achieving stronger communities, as defined within the Strategy. A stakeholder event was held in November 2007 where over 50 representatives from appropriate organisations were invited to debate the borough's priorities for heritage, culture and leisure. All associated documentation from this event can be found at the bottom of this page. An inaugural meeting of the Heritage, Culture and Leisure Partnership (HCLP) has been held in February 2008 to further discuss and agree the borough's priorities for this Partnership and to agree action required over the next three years. Further information including terms of reference for the HCLP and future meeting documents will be added to these pages once available. Please see documents below for HCLP Membership and Structure as at June 2010
