Children's Trust

The Partnership brings together all the key agencies with a responsibility for children and young people and leads strategic planning and collaborative provision of services for them. It aims to maximise opportunities and minimise risk for all children and young people in Dudley.  In particular the trust seeks to actively engage children and young people in the priorities, processes and practices that affect them.

The Trust has set its priorities as:
  • Working in partnership to share information and to achieve local implementation of relevant Government legislation and Government initiatives, such as the Children Act 2004 and the Every Child Matters initiative;

  • Developing strategies and plans to prevent children from being harmed, abused, neglected and from suffering the consequences of poverty and deprivation;

  • Improving the delivery of integrated front-line services and putting children and young people at the heart of determining issues that affect them.
