Dudley Data
Dudley's Online Joint Strategic Need Assessment (JSNA)

JSNA is an ambitious programme, to improve the way local peoples' “needs” inform service planning around people’s health and well-being across our Borough.
This area of our site pulls together all the information that is available on the needs of our local population (‘hard’ data i.e. statistics; & ‘soft data’ i.e. the views of local people or “voice”).

This provides a resource for service professionals to analyse and identify;
  • current and future health and wellbeing needs;
  • the most important key areas for change;
  • health outcomes that are not being met;
  • health inequalities to be addressed;
  • client groups with unmet needs, and;
  • services that require change.

Place Survey

The Place Survey 2008 is a National Survey commissioned by the Government but run by our Local Authority to collect data on the way people feel about their local area (such as community safety, local services etc) and the way in which their local authority is run. In Autumn 2008 a total of 3000 questionnaires were mailed out to randomly selected addresses in the Borough and 1031 valid responses were returned (a 35% response rate).  The findings from this research will be used to see how well Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and its partners are doing at delivering the services that matter to you and to decide what needs doing differently in the future.

Ipsos MORI completed this survey on our behalf and a copy of their report is available through the links below.

If you wish to see how we compare to other areas nationally and within the West Midlands please visit the West Midlands Regional Observatory link web page with analysis of the Place Survey results for the region.
