Since the start of 2009 we have been “reviewing & refreshing” the NGLAA targets with GO West Midlands. We have finally completed this process, and targets for all of our selected 28 NGLAA National Indicators are now formally agreed. In the majority of cases this means our targets are now set until the end of 2010/11 however, for 10 indicators this is not the case for one of two reasons i.e.
The targets are based on Place Survey data which has still to be verified by the Audit Commission, our targets are therefore agreed subject to this verification (this applies to NIs 1, 17 &139). These targets are agreed subject to Audit Commission verification of data.
Government have recognised that for certain indicators economic and financial uncertainty makes it very difficult to finalise ambitious but realistic targets for the period up to the end of 2010 – 11 and targets for these indicators may be revised after March 2009 (this applies to NIs 116, 152, 153, 154, 155, 166, & 171). These targets are agreed but as we will be able to review them at future annual reviews they are termed "NOT Locked Down".
Below are two documents which have been submitted to GOWM detailing our targets. The first “Agreed LAA Targets post refresh 31-03-09” details, for each of our selected National Indicators; baselines, targets for years 1, 2, & 3, lead partners and partnerships plus the required return format.
This document details only the baselines and final 2010/11 targets expressed in the same “coinage”. You may realise that some of the targets are expressed differently in this document to the previous document NGLAA submission, and not necessarily in accordance with the NI Technical definitions.
