The following information is an outline to the approach taken in the development of Dudley's Local Area Agreement (LAA) 2007/08:

The DCP's Performance Management Group (PMG) was expanded, with revised terms of reference and membership, to become the Steering Group for the development of Dudley's LAA
A number of events took place to raise awareness and understanding about LAAs (locally, regionally and Nationally) involving a wide range of stakeholders. Presentations and notes from these events can be found on the Dudley Information Page 2007/08.

The DCP drafted it's initial LAA Outcomes framework by the end of July 2006, and was submitted to Government Office in September 2006, with a final version agreed February 2007.

The Guidance for Round 3 LAAs, such as Dudley was launched on 31st March 2006, and is available on the LAA Further Information Page.
The formal process for 3rd Round areas to commence development was 3rd April 2006, and Dudley was ahead of the game.
Dosti produced a simple leaflet for the Community and Voluntary Sector to explain Local Area Agreements and produced brieifing notes, throughout the LAA process - see documents to download at the foot of the page.
