Welcome to Voices from Dudley
DCP are committed to meaningful engagement with the communities that make up the borough. The approach we are taking is set out in a strategy called “In It Together” which aims to develop an empowering approach to engaging local people; our approach involves developing practical methods by which local people can get involved with decisions that affect them and their neighbourhood and that we only engage with local people when there is a real commitment to listen and respond to what they tell us.
As part of that approach we are building up a library of recorded engagement activities which will help to demonstrate better decision making and service delivery improvements based on peoples needs. These activities are divided into two areas: consultation with the communities or the general public; and service users who have been consulted about their experience of specific services.
Dudley’s Local Involvement Network (LINk)
A Local Involvement Network (LINk) is made up of individuals and community groups who work together to improve local health and social care services. The job of your LINk is to find out what people like and dislike about local services, and to work with the people who plan and run them to help make them better
