Relationship with other Partnerships

The LSP represents the council’s key partnership activity.  However as an authority Dudley MBC is involved in partnership with many organisations which differ in terms of size and aims.  Alongside the council’s engagement with the wider LSP there are thematic subgroups which are more action oriented partnerships.

The long term regeneration and development of the borough is a major priority for Dudley Council.  Therefore the authority’s work within the Black Country Consortium which is responsible for the planned development of the Black Country in the mid and long term is of particular importance.  The Black Country Study being produced by the consortium will guide the council’s regeneration activities and ensure a co-ordinated approach across the Black Country boroughs.

Linked to this large scale regeneration is the work of the Brierley Hill Regeneration Partnership (BHRP).  The council is one of three major partners looking to further develop the Brierley Hill area in line with both business and community needs.  This supports the council’s vision for the area as a key centre of retail and business development.

In addition to these major areas of partnership work the council engages with a wide range of community and voluntary organisations working in partnership to deliver services for the benefit of Dudley’s citizens.
