From its first meeting in January 2006, the Performance Management Group (PMG) have undertaken a number of tasks and taken a number of decisions regarding NRF. These are summarised on this page. The PMG is a sub group of the Dudley Community Partnership Board which has delegated responsibility for allocating NRF on behalf of the DCP. The PMG developed a set of criteria for new NRF activities to meet, which can be downloaded from the foot of this page. The criteria reflect the National requirements of NRF and the local priorities as determined by the PMG through local quantitative and qualitative research undertaken. Initially, all existing NRF supported activities were assessed by the PMG, against the first 4 criteria on the list referred to above. Through this process, a number of activities were approved to continue for 2006/07, and a list of these can be downloaded from the foot of this page. A few new activities were also agreed to be funded by the PMG, these having being proposed by the DCP’s Theme Partnerships and Neighbourhood Management, to address inequalities for the effected individuals and communities. This information is also included in the document download at the foot of the page. The PMG agreed that due to the relatively small amount of NRF remaining, that the funds should be commissioned to focus on the priorities identified within the Borough, and bids should not be invited for a wider range of dispersed activities. A process for commissioning NRF was therefore embarked upon to focus upon the priorities outlined in Appendix 2 of the NRF criteria attached below - which is to address gaps in education and skills for employment, through a geographically-focussed partnership approach in:
Consultation has been undertaken with a number of stakeholders and now local teams are being set up in each of the 3 geographic areas, agreed by the PMG, to develop a specification for the delivery of interventions to address educational and skills inequalities experienced within those neighbourhoods. Each team is being led by the Neighbourhood Manager for that area and involves a number of stakeholders. As this process develops, further information will be added to this page. Commissioning of further activities for other priority areas in Appendix 2 of the Criteria is being taken forward by the PMG and will be available on this page once adequately developed.
