A key task of the Dudley Community Partnership is to work with the Council to prepare and implement a Community Strategy with the aim of improving the quality of life for all people living in the borough.
Dudley’s first Community Plan covered the years 2000-2005, and during that time, many improvements were achieved for the borough. Please see the attached document at the bottom of this page.
During October 2004 to December 2005, we involved around 5,000 local people in the Dudley Borough Challenge, which is the name given to the process of reviewing the old Community Plan, ending in 2005, and of writing a new Community Strategy, commencing in 2005.
Everyone involved in the Borough Challenge has given us their ideas and views for the future vision for the Borough and the local area in which they live or work. We believe Dudley’s new Community Strategy reflects widespread public priorities and needs and is therefore written around such needs rather than simply linked to existing themes or partnership structures.
